Very Stable
Very stable base. Stable grips that strike the balance of flexibility and then staying put. Neat trick to solder away from the base is to place the magnets opposite each other through aluminum sheet metal.
Worked great for soldering my instrument panel of my RV-3. There were a couple of engine sensor leads that could not be soldered at the bench. They had to be soldered at the plane.

What more can I say The title of my review says it all. I originally ordered two of the regular size workbenches, one to be a gift to a fellow radio amateur who helped me out on a project. However, upon further consideration I determined that the Jumbo Workbenches were what I really wanted—-so the folks at Alphidia adjusted my order accordingly,and promptly provided the larger workbenches. The workmanship on these unique “QuadHands” inventions is impeccable, and I am already thinking about some fun electrical kit projects where this larger workbench will be quite useful. I am also personally impressed by Alphidia’s lifetime warranty on these items.

Very handy for projects with soldering or epoxying
I'm really enjoying using the QuadHands for my electronics projects. This thing is rugged and just WORKS. The base is surprisingly heavy and has no-slip rubber feet. It's not going to flip over in the middle of using it. The gooseneck holders are easy to position and they stay put. The magnets that hold them to the base are very strong. There are little rubber sleeves on the alligator clips that you can leave on to protect delicate items, or you can take them off to handle the heat of soldering. In summary, there's nothing wimpy about this product. No more half measures... do yourself a favor and get this!

Love the design
I love how the stainless steel table is and how small it is. The hands are good and how the magnetic works and how they could be place anywhere on the table. If you want to swirl them to any direction you can plus any degree. The only thing I don't like is when you're heating up your object and the clips get really hot, And when you gotta take off your object off the clips you gotta find a way to remove them out. I wish there were something maybe like a heat resistant plastic or maybe a piece of wood on it for easier removal of the object.

Great product
I had a magnifying glass with 2 clips with no rubeer protecting the items being worked on. My quad hands is a great upgrade to that! I've used it to hold things I was soldering and hold.pages of a repair manuel.open while rebuilding a clutch master cylinder. I see myself using this for so many different tasks in the years to come. Thanks for a great innovative product!

Simply Awesome!
I'm extremely glad that I went with a QuadHands product. At first the price seemed a bit steep, but once I held it and used it, I would have paid even more. Every piece is well constructed, finished and perfect for what I needed. I shoot Macro Photography and use mine to hold subjects like plants and insects. I can make slight position changes with almost no vibration while setting the subjects right where I need them. Shipping was fast. The workbench was well packaged. Quadhands is hands down an excellent company that cares about customer satisfaction and building a high quality product. I now need an excuse to buy from them again, maybe some soldering projects.

Quadhands Magnetic Tool
This helping hands tools is extremely well made. The base is thick and stable and coated well. The bendable arms are flexible and stay in place when bent. The magnetic bases on the flexible arms are very strong and stay in place good. These flexible magnetic arms could also be used on other metal objects to hold the arms in place which is a plus. This tool was packaged well, arrived quickly, and in perfect condition. I would recommend.

One thing I could not find on the website and reviews were the dimensions for this product.
The base plate (of the Magnetic Workbench) is 9"x4".
One of my workbench restrictions is space, and I needed something that could pack away after use.
This fits back into the box (10"x7"x2") with the original arms (and space for a few additional parts),
and besides the build quality and features mentioned elsewhere, is also very compact when not needed.

Well worth the upgrade
This is much more useful than my old third hand device. It allows me to get my projects done more efficiently, and with a lot less frustration. Everything feels like it's great quality. My alligator clips came equipped with thick silicone tubing which was a nice plus (not shown in pics), and they are removable. The magnets are strong, yet you can still slide them on the base plate for adjusting. I've sworn a lot less since I received it. While it's about 10 times more expensive than my last third hand device, I'm glad i treated myself to one!

The best helping hands ever!
I always settled for what the local shops sold or the cheapest kit online. I found the quad hands after using a friends and I didn't hesitate to get one myself. It is definitely worth the price if you work with alot of soldering and small projects.

I bought a set of Quadhands after mulling over competing options for a few days (I even considered DIY!). After researching quality, I decided to give these a shot, plus I liked how they were presented the "cleanest" of all the options. After receiving the setup quite quickly along with a notice for a delayed delivery of the silicone covers of the quadhands, I messaged Mark Richards and he promptly sent a replacement set after my school messed up the first one. He and his team are the most professional company with the greatest customer service I have ever seen! Very quick to answer, professional and kind. As for the product, I am blown away at how I did my work without it! I cannot recommend Quadhands enough, both for the product and company itself!

Thank god for quad hands
This is one of the best things I have ever bought. The regular style helping hands are crap because you can never get the clips to hold what you need the right way. Any one that solders, builds models, dolls, or is involved with any other hobby of the sort, trash those helping hands and get some quad hands!

Where has this been??
Just got this today from Amazon. When I picked up the box I was a little surprised on the weight. Got it opened and setup and just playing with the arms there are so many things I am imagining to use this for. Something I thought of and was completely not thinking of till I felt the magnetic pull. I have been needing to do some wiring in a car and have required tapping into existing lines. The issue has been that the place is up underneath and behind the ECU. I can get to the location but don't have enough hands to hold everything and solder. Now with the longer arms, I can stick them to some steel and hold the wiring and solder everything into place. I am looking for this Saturday morning to finally get this done. The only thing I would add is a magnifying arm to help with the really small things and the ability to buy extra arms. Keep up the innovation!!

INCREDIBLE
I have been trying to solder with my own makeshift contraption as I have not been excited about anything on the market. That all ended when I found and ordered this product. The description says it all, so I won't bore you with that. Quality and function is amazing, and I expect it to last as long as I do. My only hope is they will make a high quality magnetic magnifying accessory. If they read this, I would like to be a test mule for it.
